NASSAU Energy is a new generation of sectional doors

PRODUCT NEWS: NASSAU Energy is a new generation of sectional doors that combines optimum insulation with a good light inflow and innovative design. The Danish Technological Institute has tested NASSAU Energy to a U-value of just 1.62. Combined with an innovative selection of materials, this type of door provides new opportunities to create aesthetic structures that comply with the more stringent energy requirements, and also ensure a sound working environment and a high inflow of light.

A revolutionary new door from NASSAU DOOR A/S puts industrial construction at the forefront in fulfilling the more stringent energy requirements in the Danish building regulations. The NASSAU Energy door’s patented window structure makes it possible to achieve very low U-values without compromising on functionality and design. NASSAU Energy’s through-going horizontal lines ensure a completely flat surface and a high inflow of light, giving a design boost to industrial construction. The energy-friendly door also helps companies to save money, protect the environment, and ensure a light and bright working environment.

Tested by the Danish Technological Institute

The Danish Technological Institute has tested NASSAU Energy and proved that a standard-sized 4000 x 4000 mm sectional door with four 90E sections has a U-value of just 1.62. This offers new opportunities for contractors and architects to create exclusive designs that meet the more stringent energy requirements.

“The building regulations prescribe increasingly more stringent requirements of buildings’ energy parameters. We have therefore developed the revolutionary NASSAU Energy that, with a very low U-value, supports contractors and architects in their energy parameter calculations,” says Finn Methmann, NASSAU’s Director of Sales and Marketing.

Sustainability in exclusive design

The new sectional door consists of the patented section type 90E which is built as an aluminium frame with a triple-pane window structure in one through-going section. The window exteriors and interiors are scratch-resistant, the panes are fitted on the outside of the section frame, and the structure ensures that all sections are completely level. This ensures a harmonious expression, while significantly reducing cold air transmission through the door.

“In most industries today, there is strong focus on sustainability and insulation capacity. But it can often be difficult to achieve a low U-value while also ensuring a sound working environment with a good inflow of light. With NASSAU Energy we have created a solution that meets all these requirements, and in an exclusive design," says Finn Methmann.
